If you are like me, you've now said a sad goodbye to summer and your kids are back in school. This melancholy time is offset by all the great things that Fall has to offer- basketball season (Go Warriors!), Halloween, pumpkin spice lattes, and the changing leaves. Temps are starting to drop but not quite enough to invest in the heavy guns like coats and boots- instead below are some nice transition pieces to spice up your wardrobe.

Here is what made my Curious List:
1. Emme Parsons Mary Jane Slide : . This L.A. based brand uses quality leather and makes their shoes in Italy. Love the patent leather and the modern twist on the classic Mary Jane. Wear this with wide leg jeans, a shirt dress, or even a suit for a polished but not stuffy look. These do run small so size up.

2. Madewell Silk Floral Top- Karen Walker, a New Zealand based designer, has provided some very cool pieces for Madewell. This yellow floral print is my favorite and also comes in a dress. Great price point too for a silk blouse.

3. J.Crew Ruffle Trimmed Floral dress- this 100% cotton dress has an old world, European feel and perfect for those warm days that still linger. Pair it with a denim jacket or blue blazer as the weather gets chillier. I find J.Crew tends to run large so I usually size down.

4. Back to School Bonus- For those of you who have drab dorm rooms to decorate, a great resource is Zara Home. You may be familiar with Zara clothing stores, but their Home store, which is more ubiquitous in Europe, has beautiful designs for bedding and bath at reasonable prices. You can easily order on-line. And for some wall decor, try downloading the Mixtiles app- easily click on photos from your phone to create 8"x8" photo art tiles that easily adhere to walls with no damage- teen approved!
