Happy New Year and time to Switch Gears

Hard to believe 2019 is here. The slower pace of the Holidays is now offset by getting back to our busy lives and responsibilities. In addition, January is a time when the rain starts to get very old, and I start looking forward to a sunny beach vacation. Fortunately, an assortment of Spring Fashion, or Resort Wear, has already started to appear in stores and on-line, signaling it is time to switch fashion gears. Here are some peeks at what is in store for Spring ....

Here is what made my Curious List:

1. Wedge Sandals: - I love wedges and espadrilles, always timeless and classic. Very walkable, especially on the cobblestone streets of Europe. I could do an entire blog on various wedge styles but will not bore you. Instead, I have chosen two to highlight. One very affordable and another that is more of an aspirational goal and investment.

Made in Spain, the canvas Castaner Campesina Wedge. This pretty shoe is stylish and affordable at $165. The platform also lends well to its walkability. I love the wrap around ankle straps. It comes in different colors, but this neutral grey would compliment almost any outfit.

For a bit fancier and polished look, this leather Valentino Rockstud Espadrille Wedge is perfection. The bright cognac shade is fun and different.

2. Tory Burch Cotton-Poplin Dress- I had my eye on this last summer and now it is on sale! Yeah! A preppy collared dress that works well for a staycation or vacation.

3. Warm Francesca Floral Cotton Blouse- A beautiful, very lightweight cotton blouse that screams spring. I am a huge fan of florals- but how you wear them are so important- you don't want to drown in this busy look. Paired with fitted white pants, this floral blouse works.

4. Elta MD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen- I put this on every morning, sunny or cloudy day. It is dermatologist recommended and goes on clean and clear. Great product for acne prone or sensitive skin. This line is available at doctors' offices and on-line.

5. M.i.h. Ella Check Blouse- A navy and white crisp gingham blouse with a flattering square neckline that is great with shorts, a skirt or pants.

A good start to get you excited for Spring '19...
